  • Does my personal auto insurance policy cover me if I'm contracted with a ride-sharing service such as Uber or Lift?

No. Personal auto policies don't cover business or commercial exposures. Some companies do offer an endorsement to allow your existing policy to extend coverage to this operation. Call us for more information about available coverages.

  • Does my commercial auto policy cover the cargo I haul for my business?

No. Only if you add that coverage to your policy. Cargo can be set at the proper amount you haul in your vehicle to cover in case of an accident, theft, and more.

  • Does my homeowners policy cover water back up?

No. It is only covered by endorsement with specific limits. Some companies have a separate limit each for dwelling and contents.

  • Are custom accessories covered on my motorcycle?

Sometimes, depending on the company. Some companies offer an automatic limit, but you need to make sure its enough to cover your accessories. Companies generally offer to endorse the additional amounts.

  • If my restaurant business location suffers a power outage, will I be compensated for the contents of my refrigerator?

Yes, if you have mechanical breakdown coverage on your policy. Some policies offer it in a package, while others have to be endorsed.

  • If my underage daughter gets into a multi-vehicle at-fault accident with my car and the amount of the accident exceeds my auto policy limits, am I responsible for the balance of the damages?

Yes, unless you have an excess limits policy or "umbrella" with a high enough limit to cover the loss.

  • How long is a Level Term Life policy good for?

For the term chosen, such as 15 or 20 years, at the end of the term, you are required to apply for another policy at your attained age. Premiums also remain level during the term of the policy.
